Dr. Sita Ram was born in 1986 in Sirsa, India. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, in 2009. In the same year, he qualified both the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2009) and the CSIR–Junior Research Fellowship (CSIR-JRF, June 2009) examinations, through which he was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), followed by the Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University under the supervision of Prof. Pawan K. Sharma.
After completing his doctoral studies, he worked as a Research Scientist at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., where he gained valuable industrial experience in synthetic and medicinal chemistry. With over 16 years of research experience and 10 years of teaching experience, Dr. Sita Ram has made significant contributions to the field of chemical sciences.
He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. His research interests include the design and synthesis of medicinally important heterocyclic compounds, particularly antimicrobial agents, antioxidants, cathepsin B inhibitors, and carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, as well as the development of efficient synthetic methodologies for bioactive molecules.
Dr. Sita Ram has published more than 20 research papers in reputed international journals with good impact factors. He has successfully guided one Ph.D. scholar, while two others are currently pursuing their doctoral research under his supervision. In addition, he has supervised over 20 M.Sc. students for their dissertation projects.
