Students Welfare Cell
The following are the events/activities of the club:
Events and Activities (2015-16):
- Bhuvnesh, Sheetal, Sakshi and Dildeep participated in EYRC+ competition of IIT Bombay and were amongst the finalists.
- Three teams. Devika, Drishti, Priyanka, Yogesh and Sushant, Kshitiz, Mayank, Harshit and Dikshant, Moksh, Kushank, Karan participated in E.Yantra – a project based competition of IIT Bombay and qualified as one of the top 10 teams from all over India
- Bhuvnesh and Kartikay participated in iPDC conducted by IIT Kanpur and won the Second Runners.up title.
- Two teams. Mayank, Nishant, Rahul, Shubham and Richa Gulati, Preeti, Pooja, Manisha bagged the first and second positions respectively among all the teams participating in the Delhi zone and thus qualified for the finals held at IIT Guwahati.
- Richa, Himani, Mayank, Tejpreet and Aishwarya participated in the Raspberry Pi competition of IIT Madraas and won the first runners up title of the north zone.
- Sushant, Kshitiz, Mayank and Harshit participated in IARC (International Autonomous Robotics Challenge) of IIT Kanpur and had attained 1st position in North Zone.

Events and Activities (2016- 17):
- Light Show’16:. ?Iridescent 1.0 is a presentation event being driven by the microcontroller interfaced with vixen(i/o based music sync software ) to be presented on led strips .The event is a great success, as it made the freshers (Reizo’16)? unforgettable.
- NAAC accredition:.? Projects have been undertaken to be present among the eminent
Members of NAAC to present the technical skills of the students.
- Smart bin: ?A prototype of, how a clean India can be obtained?, is soughted through the ultrasonic sensor based waste detection and can be connected to candy dispatcher, charging port, water dispenser or ticket vending machine.
- Robotic arm:.?A 3 axis controlled and programmable with 6 servo motion arm is designed to get the industrial prototype of a multifunction working unit.
- Smart irrigation system: As farming is the prime sector of our Country, it needs to be technified. A smart, self automated irrigation system using moisture sensor getting feedback from the set point value from the microcontroller.
- Home automation:.? A bluetooth module based home automation system is the cheap and the best of the class ideas to be implement in the local areas around the country to achieve the goal of smart city.
- Pragyan’16: An yearly objective based intra club cum open competition. The theme was light and student have made projects that show different ways light can light our life.
- Elements culmyca’17:.? The tech+cultural fest of YMCAUST. This time we have come
up with presentation, fun.tech, competitive events.
- Iridescent 2.0:This time ,the theme based light show was presented among the ymcians. The show steals the night this fest.
- Aquamortis: ?An event describing how water can be more powerful if it can behandlled with controller.
- Shadow wall: ?This show was an example of how a shadow can be mimiced. Atransistor and photodiode based screen to show the shadow in the bright.
- Hammer hit:?The event comprises of how strong you are with the help of force sensitive resistor, an open to all free event. A huge success.
- Penumbra: The shadow was an event made to have a RGB shadow of yours snapped on a radium screen.
- Robosoccer: when robots come down to play, bluetooth module is being used to make the uninterrupted transmission by the students and that’s where it innovates the soccer again.
- Hit the wall:.?An event made to aim the game.Hit the wall with a ball and the max
you hit with accuracy, you will get the reward.
- Battle of brains: ?A fun.tech quiz comprises questions of general knowledgeand basics of electronics.
- Techchef:?The PCB and designing event where participants are compelled tosimulate and reverse engineer the task being given.
- Mazerunner:?The event comprises of an autonomous robot which follow themaze given to the participants as a task.
