Journals (unbound), reference books, rare books, magazines, newspapers and theses are not to be issued.

RE-ISSUE OF BOOKS

Books can be re-issued once to the borrower, provided the book has not been reserved by other members.

RESERVATION OF BOOKS/ HOLD A BOOK

Members can reserve a book by submitting a request through the Library Management Software or register. The member will be notified Upon the book's return, it must be collected within three working days, or it will be offered to the next member or returned to general circulation.

FINE FOR OVERDUE ITEMS

All loaned books must be returned on or before the due date indicated on the Due Date Slip. Overdue charges of Rs. 2 per day per book will be applied to student members. The Librarian/Dy. Librarian may reduce or waive off the late fine if the reason for the delay is valid or the student faces financial hardship. Collected fines are used for library development.

LOSS OF BOOKS

If a book is lost, the reader must replace it with the latest edition or pay the current price. If the current price is not available, double the cost will be charged.

INTER-LIBRARY LOAN

Books and materials unavailable in the library can be obtained from other libraries through Inter-Library Loan services upon request.

NO-DUES CERTIFICATE

All members, including students, faculty (regular, guest, adjunct, contractual), workshop and non-teaching staff, and project staff, must obtain a "No Dues Certificate" from the library before leaving the University. Chairpersons must ensure that adjunct, guest, Professor of Practice and contractual faculty obtain the ‘No Dues Certificate’ upon leaving the University. Students who fail to return books and obtain the certificate will have the cost of pending books deducted from their security deposit.
